The Constitution

Article I

The name of this club shall be The Harmony Club of Homestead
Homestead Pennsylvania

Article II

In 1899 a group of women of Homestead Pennsylvania with Mrs. Ann Posey as president established this club in order to do any available act of charity in their community for those less fortunate than themselves.

Article III

The membership shall be open to any woman of good character interested in the purpose of this club.  The club membership shall consist of not more than 21 women.

Club Colors    Purple and White

Article V
Section 1

The officers of this club shall be
President
First Vice President 
Second Vice President
Recording Secretary 
Assistant Secretary  
Corresponding Secretary
Financial Secretary
Treasurer
Historian
Parliamentarian
Chaplain

Article V
Section 2

They shall be elected by ballot at the annual meeting in May and serve until their successors are duly elected and qualified to serve at the beginning of the club year, which begins in September.

Article V
Section 3

At the April Meeting the president shall appoint a committee to nominate a list of officers for the coming year
Installation of officers shall be conducted at the June meeting

No officer shall hold office for more than four (4) years
Any member shall be eligible for re-election to hold office after intervention of one year from the time she previously held the position

Article VI

This constitution may be amended at any regular business meeting of the club by a two thirds vote of the members present and voting provided that a written notice of intended change has been given at the meeting at least one (1) month in advance
